Baseball is not done yet- MLB players are ready to face “samurai Japan” at the Japan All-Star Series. The tour begins with an exhibition Tuesday, Nov. 11, and there are official five-game series in Osaka, Tokyo and Sapporo. After the “Crazy” World Series, baseball fans are hoping that this series will bring different style of entertainment for them.

However, there are some question about seriousness of this series. Evan Longoria, Robinson Cano, and Yasiel Puig have different perspective toward this event. From Longoria’s perspective, even though his fiancee is due to give birth to couple’s second child, he decide to join the event because it is the opportunity that can’t turn down. He take this event seriously and show his professional ethic toward to the baseball. And Cano and Puig, who take this even less seriously are excited about enjoy their vacation at Japan. Cano said “I’ve been reading about it. Those are the things that you want to see — the experience and tradition, to be able to play games against their players, to have experiences with their fans.” Which express his excitement toward the vacation. Also, Puig said “Since I wasn’t doing anything now, instead of training at home, I preferred to travel and work out, get to know another culture and have a good time in Japan.” Which shows same perspective as Cano.

I understand that the 2014 season is over and players are excited about enjoying their vacation. However, because this even is still part of the baseball, hope that players take this event seriously while they are on the field. Fans also have rights to enjoy the event. Players who join the event should realize that they are still ball players and expressing their performance is still part of the vacation while they are in Japan.
